Taking a break from social events, this one is tough for most people because our social lives are our way of freedom from not only work, but from whatever else is going on in our lives. Making choices grounded on fear, some people find themselves incredibly nervous about feeling left out and being set a part from everyone else. The idea to keep in mind is that everyone has a spending limit, some more than others, but you would be surprised at how many people that you’re close to want to save money as well. If you let people know that you can’t spend a lot of money on something, they are more than likely going to be understanding.

Avoiding the problem, the best thing you can do is be honest with yourself and quit making excuses. Once you tell the people in your life that you can’t spend as much money anymore, you have to come to terms with that as well. If you sit down and go over your finances and realize what your spending is doing, then it will be more motivation to stop spending as much.
